Sounds like a body control module fault :?

Sounds like a back up power fault of some description.

Usually their is two power supplies to the instrument panel, ign which powers the instruments
etc when the ignition is turned and a second power source which supplies backup power to retain
the memory when the ignition is turned off. It is possible that this backup supply is missing.

sounds more like your battery is on the way out to me..

if you have a dead / dying battery, and go to start your vehicle, the current draw brings the battery voltage down too far to keep everything powered..

how old is your battery ? i know in my 06 model im on my 3rd starting battery now.. they dont last forever..

I've had this EXACT problem mate.

It was a blown interior light fuse, which is the same fuse that the offline power supply for ECU / computers draws from. Pretty odd that they'd match a high priority circuit with a low priority one eh??

It was first evidenced by the fact my remote central wouldnt work.

Then I realised every time i started car that the dash would have a mini sh1t fit , which it does at initialisation (all the needles wiggle for a few seconds) ... then noticed my clocks and computers were reset ... and the engine was a tad different (back into a learning cycle)

Bet your interior light aint working :)

btw its a small half size weird little 10a fuse, cant for the life of me remember where it was. Also mine didnt really show sign of being blown but multimeter test proved it was.

the fuse for the interior light is in the engine bay fuse panel. it powers up the dash, clock, and some other bits and pieces. youll find that, that fuse is blown mate. check it and see how you go.

Yeah sometimes they don't look blown and yep it's odd that central locking and ecu backup power is on the same fuse as the interior light!
