well every one loves a sas. where about to start my brother's its a 98 s/c where using a ifs eliminator kit the doner diff is a live axle housing using a 8in hi pinon centre

awesome, I've often thought if i end up getting rid of my current lux i'll go back to the previous gen lux and have a go with an ifs iliminator kit. Will be watching closely

the chop begins tonight .i wouldn't do a ifs eliminator kit the car ends up way to high my mate car is 8in higher then mine (same model) and i have 33's with 40mm lift and he has the 4in kit and 35's.

I agree totally mate....Im cursing in a way that I sold my old 03 hilux....would have been SAS'd by now on 35's....

I agree with 3dlux.....get the parts you need seperately from Bud Customs....front spring hangar and shock towers, high steer kit....then fit a set of IFS Hilux rear leaves under the front , that will give you 2" lift and move you front axle bout 1.5" forward.....then get a 2" lift spring pack for the rear.

trim the guards and you should have a low riding hilux on 35's.....

can you please explain the rear shackle mount?

it looks like the bolt just goes through the chassis rails...i would have thought you'd have to weld a proper mount to the undrside of chassis rail.

shackle angle is good IMO, means more droop!

i so should have kept my 03 hilux.......might just have to leaf sas this one

its a crush tube welled in it's just like the rear of the 6th gen. it was only tacked in for the photo

sas is done only took a weekend just needs some 37's and level up the rear end

If it not to rude may i ask how much it set him back overall for the kit and diff, are the shocks included in the kit? And is your brother going to get it engineered?

there was few people working on it. i think the kits about 2g that includes spring high steer diff rebuild kit rotors shocks wheel spacers. then he bought a housing without a centre for $100 then he found a high pinon centre with 4.8's and air locker for $1500 i think. all thats needed is a new front shaft i think they go for $700 but where going to build a pto tube shaft. i not sure what he's doing for engineering

thats awesome, pretty amazing when you consider that a good standard lift is around 3-4 grand. bet you guys are stoked.

Wow talk about six degrees of separation ! I gave an auto to your brother to take down to Sydney (from Brissie ) to my brother Shane - you know , the major pisshead with the 79 front axled lux (I did that ! ) , twin transfer cases and never drives . Must be about time I came down south and get some shit done on that thing so he can drive it when he gets back!
