Have you thought of using lj78 steering box? it has the armfacing forward, thats what I used on my surf sas.

Pretty sure mechinac said it bolted straight on?!

i will be sticking to the ifs box cause i had the pitman arm to suit it already and i know the box is in good condition. the shocks work well because without them no work gets done

got to spend a few hour checking everything just waiting on parts to turn up to continue the build getting very close now.
checking the flex not bad seems pretty balanced

I don't wanna tell u how to eat sh#t, but try to get the panhard and drag link parallel . I dunno why it mattters so much but if its out much its a painful drive onroad.

ive heard it needs to be on the same plane/angle but ive never heard it needs to be parallel. do u like my castor correction good old 2x1

there 33x10.5 i ran them when it was ifs. im toying with the idea of sticky 37's for harder trips and 33's for easy trips.

33s to 37s is a big difference in gearing, especially with the (no offence) slug that model is for horsepower .
Are you thinking about regearing and what to ?

all the peace in the puzzle are together got make a panhard mount and rebuild the front diff it should be ready for the hilux meet. going to try out the amada not sure where im going to put the remote cable tied to the shock will work for now

it taken a while but the end is near. got mount a steering damper and i can drive it on the road build the front diff and lift the rear and its done.

took it for a drive this arvo only got up to 50km/h with no steering damper no death wobbles. there a couple of things i notice it dosn't steer as good but it brakes a sh!t load better and it goes like a slug compared to my 6th gen

im pushing to get it ready for the hilux meet. the stock shaft should work with a 40mm spacer if not i steal my brothers one made out pto tube

Looks good. I'm wanting to do the same to mine. Not capable of doing it myself so am after some 1. To do it. Hav a old hilux front diff to use. Got the centre built with heavy duty crown & pinion & solid spacer & arb locker. Hav chromoly axles & cvs to.

if your doing a leaf sas it will be easy we did my brothers in a weekend. ive got nitro gear arb and soild spacer to go in mine leaving the stock cv's for now there a bit bigger than hilux's. got to take it for a good drive got it up to 100 no bump steer with me hitting every pothole i could. getting some 150mm buds shackles for the rear so i should be done by next weekend

im holding off with the engineering until i sort out the rear. radius arm are stock with castor plates they binned on the tie rod on down travel i will go after market ones and 4140 tie rod/drag link when i bend the stock ones no wheel alignment yet
best i could do in 2wd still more down travel
