time to get some older hilux builds on here.ive had this ute since 2004 when i got it had a canopy and at's thats it.
then i removed the canopy for a roll bar and some lights

then i got ready for my first cape trip 2in lift bar with winch and a roof top tent bfg at's

then some slider and 32's

then some 33's more bar work on the rear

it was my work ute until i got the new ute

then the tub had to go after coping some offroad damage

looking awesome mate! what size rhs did u use to build the tray. looks like some 75x50 there? thickness?

of the top of my head i think it 70x35 3mm. i also forgot to mention my favourite mod twin air lockers

still got it plent of mods to do. 3link front end using a 79 series diff some for of reduction for the transfer and disc brake rear end and turn the tool box setup into a slide on

I really like the green gen 4. I think they are the best looking ute of the last twenty years.

Really like the tray/canopy build, looks good.
I have nothing good to say down here so I wont say anything at all

i didn't like the green at the start i wanted a blue one. canopy was built by daves metal products in wetherill park sydney

finally managed to get an action shot of the lux

did some damage on the weekend 1 broken cv and bent my bullbar .also moved my winch box behind the spotlight to gain some more air flow had to take a section out of the grill to make it fit.

Good looking ute. Looks like a 2000. I'm looking at lifting mine. What did you use and where did you get it done? Yep I reckon the green is a good look, but I'm biased. ;)

close its a 99. the lift is easy with this model just 2in raised spring and wind up the torsion bar i only went about 30mm on the front it just clears the 33's.update on this is im waiting to do my rego then the chopping begins :evil: just have to find a front cut out of a 79 series also picking up a jd model3 bender in the new year to finish the tray

update ive done f all this year i finally gave up on a 79 series front cut and scored some 80 series gear for a good price
