03 TD build-tray and canopy progress

Righto well thought I should start a build for the new rig!
Haven't been on here for a while but a few of u may remember me and the old girl

Sadly had to part ways with her to help pay for my wedding which I guess wasn't so bad!!
Ended up buying a cruiser ute to get me around and try make a bit of coin off which ended up working out perfect!

So now that ones gone I ended up buying a mates old lux off him.
It's a 2003 TD single cab.
2" tough dog lift
2" body lift
33x12.5 km2s
3" straight through exhaust
Black duck seat covers
Uniden UHF
Full canvas canopy
Snorkel
Blah blah blah

She's pretty rough around the edges but mechanically it's spot on and should be a good little project!

So now for the to do list...

Sold the canopy to fund the making of a new one that hugs the body a bit better and doesn't stick out above the roof.

Modifying the arb rack a bit and giving it a respray adding a 40" lightbar to the front of it, highlift n shovel holder and side awning.

Looking at selling the big rubber and just going some 32x11.5s to bring fuel consumption down and power up a freckle.

Bullbar needs to be modified to suit the body lift so while I'm at it will weld on a heap more mounting tabs as it's only got one, then sandblast and respray.

Chop the tray shorter with new rear tail light assembly set up. Then respray.

Been tinkering away over the last week n a bit have it a big clean up inside and out.
Dropped the oil yesterday arvy and today am having a crack at modding the bullbar to suit the body lift. See how we go!

Made a few templates today for the new tail light assembly I think I'm goin with this one. There will be a canvas lipping over 50mm so won't look as big once that's on. Lettuce know your thoughts!

Looks like a good starting point mate. Should look sweet with the bullbar etc adjusted to suit blift. Reckon that template wil look good, especially if you shorten the tray first.(less departure angle)

Is that a condom wrapper on the floor where the passenger seat goes??? If so i hope its not empty adn tyou find the rest somewhere. haha.

Literally finished the Welding and wiring last night and is in getting canvassed today!
Plan is to put lockable gullwing doors on eventually.

Yea it's lookin like home for a while I think! Yea chippin away at the moment just subbing to a local builder which is workin out well. Winters another story though not too sure what I'll be doin then I had the last winter off work and just went up the hill most days not sure if the misso will b keen on me doin that again haha.
