I'll get more updated pics soon.

Well I took a few more progress shots of the lux last night after putting the new tyres on, I'll let the pictures do the talking:

Sitting on the hoist, all tacked into position to check for clearances etc.. Still a lot to be done.

Currently my tyres sit outside the front guards and past the tray sides so i will have to get some folded metal guards made up to cover them, please let me know if you have done anything like this as I need some ideas :D

OH and these are all crappy Phone pics, I'll take some descent pics of it on the weekend with my camera..

Well, in case anyone is wondering I've been running into a heap of issues with the front end and hopefully by the weekend I'll be taking it out for it's maiden run. So stay tuned for more pics etc.

UPDATE: Took the lux for a test drive up the road and back, pretty happy with how it's taking shape.

Just needs a few things tidied up before the weekend and I'll be happy. Here's a couple of pics i took on the phone (sorry for the terrible quality, but at least you get the idea):

Well, a very quick update.. I have had the lux back for the last week and driving it around town sorry no wheeling pics yet. I am chasing a massive death wobble that occurs with no warning other than if I hit uneven road, or go around long corners. I believe it could be the panhard and drag link geometry not being the same, hopefully by adjusting the panhard mount that should solve the problem.

If anyone has done a sas to their lux and has also had a similar problem (and resolved it) please let me know :D

Cheers,
Rhys

Make sure your panhard and draglink angles are the same. This is a must for coil SAS, 90% sure it will be causing the death wobble.

Thanks mate, Panhard and draglink angles are identical so they didn't seem to be the cause.

In case anyone is wondering... There is a slight difference in length between the Landcruiser Full-Time and Part-Time C.V's. Because I had know idea, I was actually using the wrong ones which probably meant that there was a bit of slop in the sideways movement of the wheels. This has since been rectified and also all my tie-rods have now been replaced and a new stronger custom power steering box has been fitted.

The lux feels and drives like it should, and I feel a lot safer on the black stuff asides from not running any sway bars, it handles pretty good. Now there is just a few things I need to get looked at before the Annual Hilux Meet next month so I'm happy to put it through it paces!

My wife only managed to get a few photos of the lux on the Easter long weekend, so I'll try and get them up just so you can all see how it looks now.

Cheers,
Rhys

Hey thanks for all the comments guys! It's been months since I've been on the forum.

I haven't gone 4x4ing in a while but am starting to get back into it again. Just need to tidy a few things up and then it's off to the powdercoaters for all my barwork to get a freshen up!

Here's how it sits at the moment.
