Had a chance to get out finally on the weekend. Was good to get a bit of fishing and some 4x4ing in! It's been a while! Caught a few small barra but nothing to write home about. Here's the pics

Got a quote today on an xrox Bullbar and warn 9500xp winch today which I will get shipped up when I get back to town... That should do me for a little while and it'll give me a chance to let the bank account recover a bit haha

Bit further down the line I will start on the custom tray. Still thinking of ideas and how I want it all set up looking at getting an inbuilt water tank in the headboard and custom drawer with a few under tray boxes and stuff but just looking at designs and stuff at the moment.

Thanks mate.

definitely leave a lot to be desired but if I wanted a fast car I wouldn't have bought a 4b lol. The extractors and zaust helped a bit but looking into re gearing the diffs now just to get it to sit at better revs down the highway and maybe save a bit of fuel.

yeah bud looked into them. I like them but I reckon there would be a month or two delay in getting it made up then getting it shipped up here and I don't really wanna wait that long the xrox will be up here in 3 weeks the bloke reckons so im pretty happy with that. and from what I can see there pretty much same same anyway.

And xedent currently sits on about 3300 rpm at 100 and when I sit on 100 I usually get about 450-500 Kim's a tank (75 litres) but if I just sit on 90 at about 2800 rpm I get about 550 sometimes 600 Km a tank. Which usually doesn't bother me cause when I drive the lux I'm never in a hurry as I have a work vehicle if I need to go quick ;). Would be nice to be able to keep up with traffic and still get good fuel mileage though

Got the ultimate suspension kit today, I can't speak highly enough of the service Brendan & co provide. Paid for it the Thursday before last, they made up the kit and it was in my hands today. That's pretty good in my book especially to Darwin and the kit wasn't off the shelf. It's getting fitted in the morning so can't wait to test it out. I haven't heard many reviews about this suspension but I thought I'd give it a go. Will definitely be putting it through its paces on a camping trip this weekend. Ill put up pics and my experience with the ultimate suspension kit soon.

Got a bit more done on the hilux in the last week or so.

Painted the front black ready for the bull bar.

Fitted buds customs front bash plate

Got some HID headlights

That's about it. Took it out to a local spot to do some hill climbs and stuff to test the new suspension a bit. Went pretty well the new suspension is heaps more comfortable even when on the tracks. Didn't want to take it to hard without a front bar on it. Sorry no pics of that.

Awesome build you got going there mate, but why do I get the impression that you're only warming up and I believe in time this thing will become EPIC    I'm assuming it would be a pretty serious weapon now :D

Knew someone was going to mention that haha

Auto elecy wants 650 to fit the winch to the xrox cause I want an in cab controller switch aswell which I have but thought I'd do most of it myself to save a bit of coin so he only has to wire in the rocker switch. Pretty simple when your sober! Had to rotate the gearbox and the motor to mount it feet facing forward which was a bit of a headache to begin with because I lost the instructions but got it in the end.

Bit more done to the lux thanks to the auto elecy

Control box for the winch moved to behind the passenger headlight where the 'boom box' used to be
Image

Winch power isolator
Image

Remote control box mounted out of the way
Image

Lights on the new bar with HID kits installed and new covers
Image

Had to quickly run down to opposite lock to get an offset hawse fairlead because the original warn wouldn't fit and although it looks better and feels a lot more solid I didn't want to cut up my new bar to make it fit
Image

That's about it gonna go out tomorrow night after knock off and test it out

This is similar to a tray I will build later on in the year. My brother in law did this one
