G'day guys, my names Dave.

and here is my first Forby!

Shes an '04 plated KZN165R White Hilux sr5 T/D.

-140xxxkms
-33x12.5" Maxxis BigHorns on 15x8 Sunnies.
-2 inch Ironman suspension lift
-2 inch body lift
-Lightforces
-UHF
-Focal 6.5 polyglass splits , 10" Pioneer Slim Sub, 4ch Alpine Amp and Alpine head unit B/T etc..
I also have heavy duty plastic space case to go in the tub and a 40" LED bar to mount on the roof after I find a low profile roof rack to mount it on!

Future mods, funds permitting;

- Rock sliders
- Front and rear lockers
- Upgraded rear leafs and shackles

Other mods to consider?

I'd love some advice on setting up the IFS to make it as capable off road as possible, I've been doing some research and lockers are the biggest help, but what about suspension kits/combinations? I am a bit concerned on the angle of my CV's and having the torsion bars wound up just about all the way with VERY little downward travel, I only bought the car a few months back and the guy had the CV's reco'd for the RWC and one of the boots on the drivers side has torn already!! There is also a very minor leak on the same side coming out of the diff :(

Anyway here are some photos of the rig!

When you put your pics up with photobucket or whatever you use, Make sure you resize them dude. Hard to see the pics. Looks tough in the pics though. Has a big wide stance

When you do oil changes in the ifs lux's the oil from the filter leaks down straight onto the top of the front diff. It usually goes unnoticed which causes oil to corrode the diff seal and it fails, that's assuming the diff is leaking and it's not just residual oil left from the last oil change.

Something to consider

Yeah I didn't realize until after I had uploaded them! Ill fix them up on the next one.

Nah this is definitely coming from the diff and not from the last oil change. Ill have it fixed up in the new year. No time at the moment!

Well some more damage done. Went out wheeling last night just for some fun nothing extreme and I put the car in high 4 and something went wrong, the car makes a loud banging sound, feels like it's coming from the gearbox/transfer or front tailshaft/diff. What it does is a loud bang and then the car won't drive it tries to drive but it's as if you have the handbrake on and then when u back off the pedal it goes bang again! So shattered, I have no idea how it happened! When I put it in 2wd she then drives like normal. Will have to take it to get checked out when I have some money again, hopefully it doesn't cost me a fortune!
