I'm calling this build p r o j e c t d r a b due to it's lack luster appeal and small budget, oh, and it might have something to do with the colour.
What I have so far... well, agreed to get:
- LN65 X-CAB body
- LN65 Single cab almost complete with a 2L driveline (chassis also stuffed)
- LN65 X-CAB rolling chassis (this one is in good condition)
- Trail Gear 3" lifted springs front and rear
- Gear drive transfer - for duals
The plan will be to get it all stock for rego... once rego is done I’ll be cutting off all the stock stuff that won’t be needed to end up with a finished trail specific rig.

- Aftermarket turbo
- 3” exhaust
- Dual transfers – not sure if I’ll gear the rear case to 4.7
- 4.88 Toyota 8” diffs
- ARB’s front and rear
- Bilstein shocks 10” front and 12” rear (will wait and see what size works best after the rest of the setup is done)
- 35” tyres (prob run 33's until I re-gear it)
- 15x8 black steel rims with -44 offset
- Low mount winch
- Cromo front axles, birfs and hub gears (longs or dirty thirty’s)
- Dual batteries
I think that just about covers it. I’ll get some pics up as the gear starts to arrive – feel free to add any input as this is my first real build... oh, and don’t expect to see this thing on the trail any time soon.
