Ok guys.
Just summing up weather it is worth selling my 31's and going for some 285/75/16 Mickey Thompson MTz's on a 0 offset rim. I have decided to do this as i am sick of the -26 offset 15's rubbing whenever i go up a kerb, let alone 4x4ing!
People have said i will be able to fit this size tyres, but what do you guys think?
Also which rim do you think would compliment my car the most?
All your advice will be helpful

Not MT's, but close. 15 x 8 -23 with 33" MTR. Standard suspension, 2 " body lift. I had to cut the bottom rear edge of the front gaurd and flare to stop the rubbing. Hope this might show what they will look like.

bkstravel- yeah mate i think you are right, but i do like those allied wheels, too hard to pick! haha

PSI316- they do look the goods mate! but i dont think ill go the same offset as i am having trouble with simular offset currently. do you think it would be possible to run 32's with a 2" suspension lift?

cheers

Yeah i have had the torsions wound up a bit when i got the lift. About 30 or more mil. Thinkin classic II's but i do like the sidebiter and black allied one aswell, something a bit different.

32's should clear everything with 2 " lift (if your trying not to cut/move anything). I would not be changing the offset now that you have the flares. When i bought my Hilux, it had (05 on) SR5 alloys on it and it looked like crap.

Completely standard. No shackles, just body lift. I couldnt wind the bars up, they were rusted solid. I was planning to cut it all off ASAP anyway. I just trimmed the flare/gaurd and folded the inner gaurd joint. It would still just touch if i hit a big pothole or gutter etc.

Thanks for the help guys. I have come to a conclusion. I got a few quotes, and it is just too much money so im going to get the same size sunraisers but with a 0 offset, as i am sick of the scrubbing. My mates going to buy my old ones anyway.
The money spend on 265's and rims would be better spent on something else, even like lockers! Haha

Im in SA mate. Did a few local shops prices. Thanks anyway.
Rwnslux- yeah id love an SAS, but that woulf be way down the track once all the work i want to do is complete. Id rather turbo and intercool it before that. Or even put a different engine in. But thats a long time away haha!

hi guys
Went for a wheel thursday through some old forgotten tracks. Was good fun. Just my car and my mates 73 series cruiser on 34's. had to winch him out of a nice bog on the way back through the track. Winch worked well for such an old unit, pretty happy!
heres some pics (no action ones got taken sorry)

Hi Guys,
Here are some pictures of the completed drawer system, i have a few little things to finish off (like carpetting the inside of the drawers) but that can wait. I may make a DIY thread on it, but ill see how i go.
the plan is to have one drawer full of the recovery, safety things, and the other full of camping grear and cuttlery. Then when the funds permit, a ARB 37Litre fridge and slide, and 50L BOAB water tank on the top at the back.
Here are some pictures, let me know what you think. (sorry about the poor quality)

I think next on the list is the Allied Black Thunder 16x8 rims with a zero-offset, and some MIckey Thompson MTZ's in a 265/75/16. As i have a buyer lined up for my current wheels, and i got a good price on the new ones.
Cheers, Matt
