Hiya Bud

Kool looking unit...I have the 2004 SR5 T/D D/C....

With the snorkel did you silicone up the rubber grommet under your filter unit ????? If not i suggest you pull the rubber grommet off and silicone it up....You don't need water through it..

Secondly where did you get the rear 4x4 rear mudflaps from ?????? Also they should suit my 2004 ???

Cheers

Thanks mate
Not sure about the rubber grommit, i had TJM fit it, i will ask them.
The 4x4 mudflaps were on there when i bought it, and i dont see why they wouldnt fit yours, they are flexible and easy to adjust.

Hiya Mate

I wouldn't bother with contacting TJM...What you do is take the filter lid off...Take the filter out.Now on the bottom of the filter unit you'll see two little rubber grommets poking through, then feel outside underneath for the long rubber bit which is attached to the two bits poking through....You can either pull it off completely or silicone it from outside or inside...I pulled mine out ...

Goodluck

Cheers..

Totally stoked with the tyres. Much better than the Bridgestones! Im hooked! Haha.

Today i poped into TJM about installing a dual battery system under the bonnet. It cant be done without removing the silencer for the snorkle (i dont want to do this), so i looked at getting a Thumper battery system wired off the alternator and mounted on my drawer system. This is to fun my fridge and camp light when i go away for a few days here and there. What ars your opinions of this option? Do you think i should do it?

Definitely one of the best mods I have done mate. Google and install yourself. I saved heaps of cash and learnt heaps. I ran mine to the tray and runs lights and fridge. The trick is finding a good solenoid and making sure the cabling holds enough current for the distance run. I suggest around 120AH Glass Mat Deep Cycle. You can get good quality ones for a really reasonable price if you hunt around.

I got them from mount barker tires. The guy there has always been a huge help and is a 4x4er himself. So he gives great advice. And good prices

Went across to loveday 4x4 park last weekend for the first time. had a ball, was good to have such a versitile amount of 4x4ing and great camp sites, so close to adelaide. I did have some scrubbing from the tyres, but that was only when turning, the back cought the guard once when it flexed (surprised me  ), other than that everything went well.
Heres some pictures of the weekend

Also got my tax return back, so i have ordered some more mods. They are a Rhino flat mesh rack with a shovel holder and TJM 2 metre awning.

Dropped the car off to TJM today, pick it up tomorrow. Unfortunately the rack is unavaliable for another few weeks, but everything else will be put on, therefore i just have to pop in one day after work and they will chuck it on for me.
Ill throw up some pics of the racks and awning position tomorrow when i pick it up.
Cheers

Ok yesterday the racks, awning and shovel holders were installed. Still waiting on the steal mesh flat-rack to come in, as there was a shortage aus wide, should be here in a few days.
Heres some quick pictures i took, pretty average photos at is was bucketing down, i will take some better ones once the rack is on.
Really stoked with TJM's professionalism in listening to a customers needs and their quality of work. Everything i asked for was carried out (i gave them a bunch of things i wanted mounted in certain places). Not one thing was missed. Only thing i can complain about is the quality of the awning. only 2x velcro straps for the anti-flap supports along the canvas. Also the tiedown rope supplied was not the best quality (may replace further down the track). But i suppose the saying 'you get what you pay for' sums it up.

Just thinking today weather its worth spending the extra, and instead of spending $5000 on a turbo, intercooler and exhaust, putting that money into s 1KD-FTV engine transplant.
Has this been done before?
What type of cost would it set me back?
