Qwerty's SR5 Hilux

Hi All,

Thought I'd post up my rig ;

SR5 dual cab V6 Auto 5Spd

Specs ;



- Cooper 31x10.5 AT3 All terrains
- 2inch Suspension lift (3 in the rear with heavy duty leafs), WA suspension / KYB shocks.
- Flexisport Canopy (centrally locked)
- Uniden 80ch UHF.
- Black Duck Canvass Seat covers throughout (custom black / dark gray ones)
- Lightforce Blitz 240's (clear)
- Factory Toyota Satellite Navigation / Stereo stacker
- Garmin Nuvi GPS
- Kenwood 500watt 4ch amp powering 4 speakers.
- Focus 10inch flat sub (under drivers seat)
- Stereo bypass switch - to power on the deck and 2 amps without needing a key (when camping)
- Stereo & amps draw power from auxillary battery.
- 115ah Dual battery system, with 20amp DC-DC charger + 15amp AC-DC Charging (for camping use)
- 600watt pure sine inverter.
- 20amp sockets in rear of cabin, for fridge.
- 20amp socket in Tray / canopy, for freezer.
- 60 amp spare feed with anderson plug in cabin, for inverter use.
- 660CCA maint free starter battery.
- Wireless temperature monitoring system for fridges (2 wireless freezer-capable senders)


Future Mods ;

- Gas conversion.
- Diff breathers
- 130amp Alternator (depending how next couple trips go)
- Front Lockers (maybe). Probably leave rear LSD as it is.

nice rig, sounds like your good with a soldering iron? are those pictures from kal / esperance ? looks very familar

I'm ok with a soldering iron ... but it's one of my best mates who's a talented auto sparky who is reaaaaaly good (not to mention getting things at cost price or below helps a LOT).

I owe him a keg or two.

Funny though, every time you modify something, something else comes up! ... alternator has been struggling (turns out it's just a bad battery I tink ... true test will be the next 4hr night drive with a full load (spotties, charging, stereo etc).
