yea mate, no point changing when the front is maxing out the shocks and I can't fit bigger unless I cut into the inner guards. I know alot of comp rigs running leaf fron and coil rear. This thing will come out of buddys abit more "streetable" But definantly won't see many road km's

This is the development of the rear so far. Buddy will work out the truss and middle arms once this is in place

Well I have now been told buddy plans to use nissan patrol rear control arm bushs so we can still engineer it. That photo is now void becuase it obviously uses hiems.

There are a few more mods planned till it gets back on the road but you will just have to wait and see

Parell lowers and triangulated upper, is there a reason why buddy is going this way or just room/clearance wise?

Well after getting all your hopes up I have gone back to the original plans. Just not worth spending the money when I have all the other parts there. Buddy dedicated sunday for us to get into this thing, got the diff moved and new mounts all in place. Just need to box up the chassis, redo the brake lines, rebuild rear diff, put in shocks, paint it all and throw a tray on.

Got the driveshaft to get done as well, will be a one piece. Diff was moved 6" this allows us to keep the fuel tank where it was and also room off the sliders to run bigger rubber.

New Recovery Points, Rear End Boxed, Shackles

Sneaky Flex Test, Should Work Abit Better with some Weight from the tray. Front End Still Decimates it :D

Also made some greasable bolts for the rear and had a one piece shaft made to suit.

Well getting there, next weekend we should be pretty much wheelable. going to rebuild the rear diff then just build a tray. Yesterday got the rear painted up and decided to change the front bushes as I believe they are causing my death wobble.... these are the old ones...

You and your bro are doing an amazing job with this Lux! Ultimate custom Hilux

How much more power has the turbo given you?

What size rubber do you intend on running with the shortened chassis?

Cheers,
Marc

Not sure on an actually figure with the turbo, but its a huge difference, before it would putt up hills where now it accelerates, I plan to run the 35's till there worn then upgrade to 37" MTR's. These 35's I would say are around 60% still, but the car has been designed to run a 37

Abit of an update, tray is on. Roll bar still needs to be made then off to powdercoat, everything else is pretty much done, just be a few tidy up jobs afterwards.
