Just sold my Evo IX Lancer and recently ordered a 2010/11 SR5 D/C 4X4 in diesel.
I'm looking forward to getting it dirty and taking my little boys on their pee wee's bush. Never done the camping thing but with 3 young boys and a wife who's keen this'll be fun.
Any 4WD tracks around the northern beaches still able to be used ?
Cheers
Andrew

Welcome to Newhilux Andrew,
Good luck with the new car.
There's a couple of tracks up the Parkway, but there not for the faint hearted, will need a good lift kit, bullbar (ARB or thereabouts) for front clearance, here's a link to a thread of the track.

Hey Andrew
No tracks on the Northern Beaches worth doing . Red hill and Oxford Falls are fenced off .
I take my Wife and 3 kids camping a lot and its hard work but very rewarding mate .(kids are 4 ,3 and 1)
There are some good tracks 1.5hr's drive North at the Watagan State forest.
Where do you live mate ? Im in Cromer .

Hey mate,
just up the road in Narraweena on Victor rd. My kids are 2,3 & 8. Been looking at Tents and bits 'n 'pieces for a while but now the Lux is ordered i might just pull my finger out and do a camping weekend.
Lux arrives in Dec, ordered in Black.
Thanks everyone else for the welcomes.
Cheers
Andrew

The great outdoors camping is awesome fun, a really good place to camp is at Treachery Beach just near Seal Rocks, great camp site, one of the few where you can have open camp fires, plenty of beach driving at Lighthouse or Sandbar/Selitos and a few good track to be found.

Great camp spot, except last time I went we camped for 9 days and it rained for 8.5 days, 10 of us stuck it out made a little shanty town with tarps and drank beer to cheer us up lol.

Hey Andrew,
Very nice blank canvas to work with.... I love a fresh black ute!
All the best with it... hope it gives you years of hassle free 4x4 action and good family times.
Plenty of good build ideas on this site, and loads of nice fellas as well.
Cheers
Matt
