Been on this site for quiet some time now, only just recently figured how to upload pics of my lux!! Let me introduce myself formally, my names daniel, i reside in western suburbs of melbourne, tradesman by day, loving father to a 9 month old girl by nite. Purchased the hilux in june 2010, was considering buying the navara or triton until i came across the mighty hilux!! NEVER looked back!!(no offence towards owners of navara's and triton's ) Mods so far are as follows toyota tub liner,hardlid,window tints,good year wranglers 31/10.5r15,spotties on roll bar.In the coming weeks will get the snorkel installed and dp chip. Have ordered the arb sahara bar with 240 lightforce xgt, heading off to the deni utemusters this coming friday only problem is i ordered my sahara bar 1 week too late,BUGGER !! Im sure you'll that we're all pretty passionate about our Lux's as well..

any reason why you decided on a DP chip rather than the many other options available ?

g day steve, was recommended the dp chip by friend of mine, i want something that will enable me to remove chip easily so i wont void my warranty if anything happens down the track. whats your go on them? im open to suggestions.

So is your Lux a 2010 model ?

personally I'd look at either the steinbauer or the VMN Chip over a DP chip.. the DP Chip increases the common rail fuel pressures which isnt good..

do a search on here for those two chips as there is a lot of information about them both..

As Steve says search ...
I run a steinbauer after do a bit of searching found it to be a better module. A few members had trouble with the DP chip casing the hilux to go into limp mode.

yes it is a 2010 model. wont be going for the dp chip now that i have heard more bout them. looking for something that will give me a bit of both torque and power as i use my lux for towing work equipment around. Quinny thanks for the offer but will be there with other mates, might have to drop in for a beer or two!!
