new posts? They're two years old?

Postby toerag on Tue, 31 Aug 2010 7:37 +0000

being a recently joined member, i find the understanding of posts difficult. Why is a NEW POST info over two years old, it seems that if you add a post it gets put to the bottom of the list, maybe the new post could be at the top of the list second to the original post. And i see that if i open a new post, the only thing new about it is the fact that i'm lookin at it. Why is the pillar mounts a new post?????

That's the way a forum thread works matey. Otherise it reads funny, you don't read a book back to front, the reason it's under new posts, is because someone has added a comment on the end. But I understand why you ask.

You can change the display post order direction in your user control panel/board preferences from ascending to descending (but wont put the op at top).

The problem with your suggestion is that a lot of threads tend to expand on the original post with subsequent posts being relevant to the posts immediately preceding it.
