Another newbie here

Hi guys,

Long time reader but first time poster. Am keen to get wheelin in and around the Darwin area.

I have a 05 SR dual cab ex cop car fitted out with all the goodies needed. Am trying to add my touch to the vehicle, suspension and tyre wise but am unsure which way to go. So any ideas for me would be much appreciated. I have read a lot of posts regarding these topics and am still confused. :? :?

welcome Hybrid, that is a pretty open ended question you are asking there. There is heaps of info available here. If you give a bit more info on what you are trying to achieve and your $$$ budget I am sure some of the guys here can point you in the right direction
On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

Yeah i guess your right. Im after a decent off roader both on and off the road. Money isn't really an object at the moment. I was looking at a tough dog 50mm lift with maybe some BFG's, goodyear or bridgestones. Am really unsure about size of rims and tyres that would suit.

tough dog make good gear im sure you will be very happy with that setup, as for tyres and rims a good setup would be a 16''x7 rim with about a 20 pos offset with a 265/75r16 then she would be set :D

What he said, sounds like he was looking at my shed when he wrote it. Exactly my setup on an SR.

The same setup should also let you run 255/85 16's which are 33.6" instead of my 32's

Before this, I had 31x10.5's (Dick Cepek FC-11 AT) on the SR5 rims:

And here after the TD adjustable kit was fitted.

If you have not read this is a good read on tyres and wheels and people thoughts on the set up.
