Hello All

G’day Everyone!

I’ve had my 08 Hilux for a couple of years now but only used as a daily drive. I’ve finally got around to start modifying it for off road use, so I thought this forum would be helpful and maybe meet some like minded individuals.

I’m tailoring the ute to suit touring and to use to gain access to dirt bike riding tracks.
Yesterday I had an alloy tray and tool boxes fitted and today I started on the bull bar.

The ute already has a genuine bullbar that I’m swapping for an XROX bar/dominator winch
When I pulled off the genuine bar I found the plates that it mounts to may also have to come off to allow firmament of the XROX mounting brackets.
The problem is, the mounts already on the ute have a welded bolt with the nut buried in the chassis that no socket/spanner I have can reach.
Am I supposed to cut/drill this out or leave it on and source different mounting brackets?

Welcome Phil4x4 - sorry you are having trouble mounting the bar. Can you drill holes in the new brackets to accept the welded bolts?

This is the standard cut-and-paste intro that we give everyone, but that said... welcome to the forum :)
