For around town and highway driving and towing I’d say get a V6 but for around Australia touring and outback a diesel would be better. If you get an auto get it’s transmission fluid checked before buying, better still get the pan taken off and inspected. If all OK and you buy it get a big cooler fitted and new synthetic fluid put in it.
Problem is looking at Carsales $30k you get a manual SR with 150,000km on it. Meaning you might be buying someone else’s problems. But as I said you might snag a bargain in the next few months where someone is offloading their touring toy with nothing wrong with it.
