Hi all, I'm John Macleod from the very far north of Scotland, I'm 52 years old and am an HSE advisor.
I've had various 4x4's over the years, the last being a Discovery 3 which although very nice it was expensive to maintain.

I bought my first Hilux last year from a farmer mate of mine. It was a standard D4D 3.0 HL3 with no mods, since I've had it I've raised the suspension 2" and done a 2" body lift, she's been fitted with 33"x12.5" mud terrain tires on EC32 modular steels.

I've fitted a snorkel and a hidden 13000lb Rhino winch on the front, I have the option of a chrome roll bar or fiberglass canopy with a 24" led bar with a spot lamp either side, canopy is on just now. CB radio and antenna fitted.

I've got botched extended arches at the moment until I find suitably priced flared ones. all in all it looks pretty rough and ready but that's the way I like it. Once I get proper arches I'm tempted to do a Upol Raptor paint job in black all over.
Looking forward to gathering some good information on here.
