Posted: Wed, 12 Sep 2018 7:19 +0000Hi Guys, I've just got myself a 2008 SR Dual Cab and thought I'd say hello to you all.
Its a 3 Litre Diesel, Auto with 171K on the clock, its got an ARB canopy, Bullbar, snorkel and Dual Battery system. Wheels and Suspension are stock currently but upgrading these are top of the list. I'm buying it off my brother in law so I know its history, its never been off road at all and its been serviced regularly by a mechanic mate.
I'm coming from a history of a 60 series cruiser (which finally died after many faithful years and kms), then an 80 series cruiser (which catasrophically blew its head), then a 120 Prado (which I've still got), but I've always wanted a Hilux so really looking forward to playing about with this one.
I'm hoping to set it up as a touring/ camping vehicle for the family, so planning on doing heaps of mods etc. I've already picked up a few tips from looking at this site. Any suggestions, thoughts, reccommendations etc. etc. gladly accepted
