Supercharged V6 hilux tuning

Postby Mitch1992 on Fri, 07 Sep 2018 11:10 +0000

Hey guys a couple of months ago I fitted a Magnusson supercharger, same charger off the TRD hilux to my 2012 V6 SR5. Have been back and fourth from different tuners trying to have it tuned, even used a ubichip piggy BACK ECU. The problem I'm having is there is torque limiters in the Factory ECU which is bringing the throttle back to 65% between 2200RPM and 4800RPM. The car is currently with a tuner that is able to access the Factory ECU and make changes but is unsure of what needs to be changed to fix it at present. Has anyone else encounter and fixed this issue? Or is someone able to supply a file to put into the ECU to fix this? Thanks guys :D

You need an XEDE and a tune at a place that knows them. My 2011 is the same as yours and has an exhaust designed for the supercharged engine (Beaudesert). Chiptorque fitted the boost compatible MAP sensor and tuned it. The XEDE also runs the intercooler pump.
