Great forum you guys have got here.
Picked up a new SR gen 8 white tray back yesterday, my 1st auto 4wd, I'm feeling lazy already, I'm living near the sea so got the genuine alloy bar and tray (another 1st) no winch yet. Put Toyo open country AT 2's on, local tyre mob traded originals for $85 a corner, which i thought was a good deal. The vehicle is a new version with an updated grill looks a bit like the 200 series, dealer said they are just filtering through.
Had a few Hilux's over the years, good to be back in one.
I didn't look back at the Amarok as I left the dealer yesterday, comfortable and solid but not a toyota.
Cheers
Rob

Welcome. You will like the Toyos, I have been very pleased with them. They are noiser than the Yokohama Geolanders I had before them but they are a light truck sidewall so are better for towing and load carrying.

Thanks for the welcome HK1837, it was a tossup between the Geolanders and open country, I had coopers ATs for 6yrs only because I was racking the k's up fast on dirt and rarely rotated my spare so just bought 4 of the same. Circumstances have changed and I will be rotating the 5.

I really liked the Geolanders but I was killing the rears towing. The Toyos have fixed that problem.
