Returning to a Hilux

Hi all,

After an absence of some three years with a "family car" I'm returning to a basic 4x2 Hilux diesel ute for a little runabout. My previous Hilux was a 2005 single cab pickup. I'm looking at buying new over the next week or two (before the EOFY) so I thought I'd jump back on the forum. I was a member a few years ago but lost all my login information.

Unfortunately to my disspointment Toyota don't produce a tub version of the single cab and only offer a tray. I may need some advice on swapping the tray for a tub down the track.

Anyways...... I'll pop some questions in the other forum areas shortly. In the meantime I'll search the forums for all the hints, tips and phots of everyone's setups.

Cheers for now, John B

Thanks deadlybeast for the welcome and the links.

Made the purchase this week on a 4x2 workmate. Only small fish compared to the other big 4x4 set up’s here but it will do me for now and I’m glad to get back into a Hilux.

Cheers.

No worries mate
No small fish - the beauty of the ute is that it capable of being versatile and used in so many not so small ways.
I'm a little envious not having a single or even an extra cab - would be great to have that extra room in the back.
Do you have a long wait for the rig to arrive or is it in your drive way already?
