Hi People.
I recently got myself a 2006 Dualcab SR5 Hilux, Just before Christmas last year. Its the first vehicle I have bought secondhand and not felt ripped off after a few weeks!! Very happy with it. It is In immaculate condition, inside and out. It came with canopy, towbar, bullbar, winch, UHF, electric brake unit and a nice set of Lightforce spotties.
Underneath is unmarked and looks to have done mostly Highway km.
I did 7000km on the way home from Adelaide to Mount Isa via broken Hill and Brisbane. Never missed a beat.
Im about to head off to Perth in Late June and have done a few of the regulation jobs that had to be done...EGR clean, though not the manifold yet, extra fuel filter and catch can from Baileys and cat delete. I have a ARB 145l plastic tank arriving soon and that should just about do it.
I have got the electric windows running constantly and stopped the key buzzer going off....Two pet hates.
Me, Im a mechanic, currently working underground on a fleet of 125 Landcruisers. Mostly imported 6 cylinder vehicles, though we did have mostly V8's..now all dead.
Looking forward to reading peoples ideas and thoughts and hopefully offer some advice.
Cheers

Welcome mate! Post some pics!

So the 6cyl cruisers - this for the lack of a turbo?

Hiluxxury, yes the 6 cylinder LC are to avoid Turbos and all the electronics and They are a lot more expensive to maintain. Underground conditions ar pretty harsh on wiring and any alloys. Plus the drivers dont give a toss and treat them like sh%&.

Also have Wet Seat seat covers fitted and today my Ozbush Manual Mapper turned up. And EGR is now blocked.
