Howdy from Los Angeelong

G'day folks, I'm Adam, 24 from Geelong. Been lurking in the shadows for a few months making solid use of the knowledge here before launching into buying a Hilux.

Used to own a lowered Forester XT in Tasmania, moved to Geelong straight out of uni to work for Ford designing Rangers. The Foz just wasn't hacking it over here with the lack of nice driving roads, excessive cop presence and SO MANY BLOODY PEOPLE. So the obvious choice to get away from the crowds here in Vic was to buy a filthy tough 4wd - so I bought a Hilux

Cop a fair bit of flack in the office, but I'm stoked so it's worth the banter.

She's an 05 SR5 manual diesel with only 130,000kms. Bullbar, winch, 2" lift, 32" muddies, roof rack, snorkel, tow bar, UHF, scrub bars and sliders, many many lights... and a free SHOVEL!

Hoping to spend of lot of weekends out in the bush in this thing, plans for a Fraser Island trip in the new year and NT in 2019. Thanks for all the help, keen to keep learning and modding!

Welcome on-board mate
Good looking rig, I'm sure the lads on here will love to hear your side of the Ranger debate
I've had one for work and wasn't that impressed, now driving a 16 Pre-runner SR5 during the week
