Looks interesting but idd like to see some figures before i brought one.
farting is alot like jxxxxxg off. both provide instant gratification, but neither is a long term solution to the actual problem......................

yeah definately, i have been looking on their website, they are claiming around 600Nm which is very impressive... Am thinking of doing some upgrade along this line, but am thinking of using the Taipan XP exhaust and maybe use the MorePower Chip from the blokes in Melbourne.

I am also after fuel economy too...but does anyone reckon that by adding these goodies that by using a little less of the right boot at times will give me good fuel figures....

I emailed then a few weeks ago now asking for figures and prices etc, but no reply yet. Maybe give them a call and talk to them?

Change over? Sounds like an upgrade or a hi-flowing of the factory unit. Why else would they want the core exchange? Could be wrong.

AXT's Replacement Turbo for the Toyota Hilux D4D 3.0L 1KD-FTV engine.

This turbocharger has been designed from the ground-up, to replace the factory turbocharger, while providing greatly enhanced long term reliability...In addition to reliability gains, the design of the turbocharger lends itself the significant power gains...
In fact , the power potential is only limited by the tuning ability of the standard fuel system.

Using a specifically designed turbine housing, crafted up to match a precision Garrett Ball Bearing Centre, meeting a unique hi-flow compressor stage, the AXT Replacement D4D Turbo lends itself to the ultimate in performance and longevity.

Combining our top end hardware , with the latest technology electronics allows us to remove the potentially weak electronic control circuits, which are prone to failure in harsh conditions.
This means that with this system, you will end up with far less chance of ever encountering a failure.

They may ask for exchange as they might have a market for those.
But to me, these sound like new units. I wouldn't pay that much for a flowed factory turbo otherwise

Hmmm. I'm not convinced. Sounds like they might be machining the stock housing to fit their "Garrett Ball Bearing centre" and hi-flowing the compressor.
Why wouldn't they just bolt on a brand new Garrett though? There's millions to choose from. :?

Do the D4D turbos have VG or VNT?

They use the old turbo electronics to trick stop the ECU from going into limp mode. I just been through all this with replacing my turbo.

They mount up the motor section of the turbo so the stepper motor and vien sensor continue to work as normal but the turbo itself works independant.

They also will do a turbo rebuild for approx $1600 of the stock turbo.

So, do tell Quinny, did you have yours high flowed or a complete replacement with a bigger / better turbo?
