Hi all

My fuel flap will not lock shut.. I've searched the forums and Google to no avail. I was only able to find info about the spring release (which i have purchased, but can't put that on til I figure out how the cable locks the flap shut otherwise the spring just keeps it open all the time).

Does anyone know how the cable release is supposed to be positioned in order to hold it shut until the cable is pulled?

Sounds like you've got the flap spring in backwards. The cable is only for releasing the locking catch and should not be used to hold the flap shut.
