Is it a known issue that the 2.7L petrol dual cabs can fill the cab with petrol fumes due to the carbon canister getting blocked after over filling the fuel tank?

OR, is this a thing that me only has experienced, on two different vehicles? (both petrol 2.7L dual cabs)

Check the breather valve on the top of your tank isn't blocked and that the over fuelling return line is in tact and not blocked.
