Just jack the vehicle and wind them up.

I did considerable experimentation with torsion bar on my KZN165R and ended up putting it back to standard height The handling and ride quality degradation was not worth the extra height.

By winding the torsion bars up you create a harsher ride and more importantly it will top out as the clearance to the top out rubbers is too limited giving a very harsh and unpleasant ride. Unfortunately even though it is easy to just wind them up the real suspension travel, bump stops remains fixed. You will also create a greater angle on the CV joints and therefore wear them more quickly and limit the life of the CV boots.

You can wind them up a little bit without too much issue but I wouldn't recommend too much. I would say the maximum would be 2/3 clearance to bottom rubbers and 1/3 clearance to top rubbers. About a 15mm lift.

The factory spec from Toyota is 25mm of thread visible above the nut. I found that this gives me 600mm from bottom of hub to the guard.
