Hi i am putting roof rack on and need to drill holes 2 on each side how deep do i go is there any thing i can hit thanks

If you go too deep you will drill into your roof lining. You need to drill about 2 mm or so. I'm pretty sure there is a topic in here that covers it.

Only the roof lining and it's expensive! Ya will only have to go through a couple of layers of sheet metal 5-6mm tops I'd say. Get a role of 15mm masking tape and tightly wind a heap onto the drill bit 10mm from the end to create a stopper. Hope that helps, it's what I do when I'm fitting them at work.

Gunna use a rivet nut tool after i drill hole to bolt in to good idea or not thanks again

Should hold as long as they r good steel ones not alloy. I personally prefer to plate, washer and nut the inside for strength.

So u take hood lining out

Nah just take the pillar cover and grab handles off. Then pull the door seals down a bit and you'll have enough room to get your hands in there.
