Pre 2005 Aftermarket recovery points

G'day all.

I might be flogging a dead horse but is anyone aware of aftermarket recovery points for pre 05 luxes? I have a 2001 KZN165R and haven't been able to find anything. Searching the forum revealed the same question has been asked a few times over the years but no solutions apart from new bullbar with built-in recovery points.

Is anyone aware of what changes (if any) were made to the chassis post 2005? Has anyone tried using the post 2005 aftermarket gear on a pre 2005. I'm guessing it doesn't work otherwise I would have found it on the forum!

Ive found it hard to find something over the years, great question, hopefully someone will know something, although I've used the original hook with caution, it's held up well..

Cheers Swaggie. I don't go wheeling anyway, beach driving only really but a big snatch recovery would generate some decent force. Don't get bogged i guess is the solution!

You'd have to think there is a decent a market out there for someone to design som Bolt on recovery points. Must be more to it that I'm missing. Thanks for the response.

Yeah mate if I spent a lot of time on the beaches I'd be using an equalising strap to be pulled out. That's just me. Although I spend all my time in The High Country I don't allow any snatching is just too violent. So i only Slowly winch here and there, well a mate usually gets out and does it.. Lol

I got some hooks from bcf for my 2002 I think they were rated to 4.5 t. They were bugger all maybe$15 each , they bolt straight in where the factory tow points were with 2 12 mm hi tensile bolts
