Postby Garrettballantine on Sat, 28 Jun 2014 8:48 +0000

Hi, I've replaced the thermostat and radiator and it's still loosing water. It's not getting to the red zone but when I check the level once it's cooled I have to put in around a liter of water. Can anyone help?

Check for bubbles in the radiator with the engine running. Quite common to crack heads.

As Matt said. These moors had an issue with stretching head bolts and the head gasket. Which is lamented. Leak coolant or as Matt also stated. Common to crack heads

As Matt has suggested, run the engine and check if there's bubbles in the radiator. That'll be a good indication of a cracked head.
