89 model tail shaft

Hey guys could someone please confirm for me if a 98 dual cab one piece tail shaft will go strait in my 89 model dual cab? I couldn't find anything online but my mate reckons they fit straight in?

Alright are u sure? My mate pulled one out of his 98 model and said it went in his 86? Different pattern? Wheel base seems to be the same? Cheers.

Think in 98 they changed from the W56 gearbox to a R151. What model is the 1998 Hilux?

Ln167r, just pulled my mates out and it fits sraight in my 89 like it was made for it :) so now I just need to find one to buy, thanks for the help guys.
