3L 2.8D outrageous power gains!

as part of my rebuild http://www.newhilux.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=24995, I opted for extractors and 2.5" exhaust.
Went on the dyno afterwards for tune - fuel and timing - producing 20% power/Tq gains; big numbers.



Just imagine the gains with a hyclone

the 10HP was just the tune, I don't know what the numbers were before the exhaust job.

Have 16" ROH steelies with 225 Yoko Geolandar ATS.

That's pretty good! It'd still be gutless for towing anything and especially if you drive up a lot of steep hills with a load on. Are you planning to put a turbo on it later?

I'm happy with the numbers, and gains from a simple tune, so no plans on turbo. I'm cautious regarding stressing the old engine too much.
Have a 200 series cruiser for towing, and a V8 sedan for sport.
