radio always on secure

every time i turn on the ignition to start the car ('97 hilux 3L diesel ) i have to put in the code to unlock the radio. anyone know why ? so annoying !

is it an after market radio? if so, alot of the after market ones have them now and it should say in the instructions on how to turn it off. hope that helps

you should be able to dissable it, there is a way to do it on my old one from my lux anyway. hope this helps.

The way I fix mine is to run constant power to the red and yellow wire on the back of your radio red is memory. And yellow is power the only problem is you have to turn of the radio when to turn of the car
dont give up till its broken and then try 1 more time

make sure its got a good negitive to it, it my not so will lose its memory..

yeah that's what i thought and the battery was running down so i bought a new one and it worked for a little while then after a couple of months did the same again. i'll look for the earth to the radio as swinny pointed out and see if that is the problem.
get back to you when i 've done it but not for a month, i'm away o/s.

Why not just disable the code entry? Who'd nick a Toyota radio anyway? :D
