"Axis" New Hybrid Plate & Tube Front Bar from Monster Rides

Postby Monster Rides on Sat, 14 Jul 2012 5:31 +0000

G'Day,

Monster Rides is very pleased to release the new front bullbar we have for 2005-2011 and 2012 model Toyota Hilux's "Axis".

Image

This new hybrid bar incorporates a plate construction on the centre section, with 76mm mandrel bent tube outers and top hoop to produce a new design that maximizes style, approach angle, strength and safety.

This bar has been airbag tested and approved and is in stock now.

We can also produce this bar to suit 50mm bodylift as well.

This bar comes with a incorporated winch cradle and all fitting bolts required for installation.

The design on this bar comes from the Steve, the creative genius behind our Rekon Suspension kits. The fabrication comes from Rob who builds our UCA's for the Rekon kits.

The bar is very tight fitting on the body and headlights and the standard for fabrication on these bars is superb.

Here are some images of this new Axis Front Bar:

On Dan's truck (Newi Creeper)

And Jack S's truck:

Here we see it on Steve's truck with a 50mm bodylift:

Here it is on the 2012 Model:

Pricing on these bars is $2295 + delivery.

Same price for the 2005-2011 model and the 2012 facelift update.

50mm Bodylift adds $100 to the cost.

They come in a satin black powdercoat, custom powdercoat and two pack colour coded options are available upon request and at a additional surcharge.

We have these bars in stock now and they are ready to ship immediately.

Drop us a PM or email if you're interested in one.

Cheers
Matt

Nice work Matty, Steve & Rob.

These bars are the cats crack compared to the Xrox. I have an Xrox for sale if anyone is interested.

"Axis" New Hybrid Plate & Tube Front Bar from Monster Rides

Postby Toylux4 on Sat, 14 Jul 2012 7:47 +0000

Hey Matt

Are there any plans to make one of these that will fit a High Mount Winch on a 2012 Facelift Hilux?

If not is there enough room for me to modify one myself to fit a High Mount?

Are they available in the raw?

When my tax return arrives I will be ordering one

Cheers Scott

Bondy how cheap do you think it is to mandrely bend 3" tube? :?

Anyone thinking that this bar is pricey, take into account how much time is taken in design, test, prototypes, air bag tests. The massive amount of initial outlay for Steve to do all that and get the bar off the ground and into production...

This bar is one of the best I've seen, so well made, fits perfectly, the look and how it flows on the hilux body is fantastic!

Don't doubt for a second that this bar isn't worth the money!

I have to say -

They look fantastic! Clearly very well made, designed and thought out bars.

Honestly I'm in the market for a bar and would probably buy one if they were even the price of an ARB bar. I don't mean to put them down in any way, but it's the dearest bar I've seen, and by a bit too. You guys obviously have done your maths and have costs to cover, but you'd sell more if they were more affordable.

Please don't any one take this the wrong way, I'm only trying to provide constructive feedback.

Love the bullbar.
Packer

Look good Matty.

I'm looking on my home but can you tell me. Has any of the front of the wheel arch or inner guard been cut off.

I have just ordered an xrox from you and thinking about doing this my self.

Thanks Marty

Heres a couple pics, will upload better ones once I give the beast a detail and fit the spotties back onto her.

Image

Awesome approach angle when coupled with my high clearance bashplate.

The winch cradle on the inside is a work of art.

Image

Hows that for approach angle....not gonna get much better on an IFS Hilux....

It come with a built in bashplate on the underside -
Image

And these are support brackets that hold the bar to the sides of the chassis rails...

Image

All airbag approved of course....

Nice! I haven't been much of a fan of xrox style bars in the past but this one looks awesome. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't have the Sahara bar.

Hey Scott,

Good questions... I'll need to do some homework and come back to you with regards to the highmount questions.
I'd be keen to make it happen as an option if it can be done at a reasonable price.

Thanks

Yeah... it's certainly priced at the top of the market.

Pack,

I agree Mate... we would sell more if they were cheaper!

There is a huge investment in this bar and the production costs are very high with the mandrel bent 3" tube and the amount of hours that goes into fabricating them.

These are roughly the same price as a Sahara bar... the difference being that these Axis bars are in stock and ready to roll NOW!

I appreciated your comments and opinion though.
Thanks for the constructive criticism and feedback, certainly food for thought.

The new revisions Bud has made on the plate front bar have really transformed that bar... will be a superb looking bar when finished shortly.

It's such a shame that it is true. Without getting all political the new Carbon Tax really hits smaller niche producers like us for 6 in terms of pricing. Everything that goes into this bar will have a 5-10% price increase so it will get more expensive for us to fabricate over the coming months.

Not sure if I understand what you are asking Mitch?

The stock guards have not been altered to my knowledge in the trucks shown here.

The bar has a cutback to match up the the body lines though....

Cheers

Mitch I beleive is reffering to the inner panneling behind the wings of the bar. No, they have not been modified at all. Just the inner plastic liners have been trimmed to suit.

Looks great in white!

From what I can see I believe there isn't an antenna mount on the hoop but only at the base, to keep it looking clean and tidy I guess. Would there be a mount both left and right hand side?
Also do these have high lift jacking points?
