Is a wheel alingment needed after fitting these.

No, they don't affect alignment.

When you say in the description there that they're noisy, is it the actual sliding that's noisy? or just the clunking when the nut hits the ends of it's travel?

If it's just the clunking you could stick something on either end of the nut like a felt gasket or something so it doesn't make a noise, if it's the sliding you'd just have to get used to it I suppose.

It's need a thin nylon washer both sides of the gold sliding nut. Might do the trick......

On my ones, when they drilled the hole for the Rclip there is 0.5mm of play between the gold slide and the rod end. With that little bit of clearance come a clunking noise on the road.

When the Rclip is out its noisy when moving quick.

On the slow climbing stuff I didn't hear anything.
