mines high clearance Tys without the swaybar fitted. drives really well with the MR coilovers and the couple inches gained in approach angle is better than extra lift.

Hey Lads,

Just a quick note on this one... we have made some good progress and shoudl be relasing this bash plate soon.

It will be 6mm and you will remove the radiator support brackets to install it, so there will be maximum approach angle and clearance.

We also have a new design on the swaybar relocator in the works to gain even more clearance.

Looking at a Tuff Truck debut for both of these new products.

Cheers,
Matt

Will you still be able to run a stock swaybar with this new high clearance bashplate?

Cheers,

Chris.

Yeah... you will need to run a new swaybar relocator we are finalising to get the positioning of the swaybar right.

Might offer to have a maximum clearance option with no swaybar as well.... Not sure on that just yet.

Thanks,
Matt

These are nearly there.

First batch will suit "swaybar-fitted" and then there will be a "non-swaybar fitted" version.

Heres the pics guys of the first one fitted.

5mm thick steel plate.

Swaybar relocators need to be used.

Radiator Support Brackets need to be removed to fit these.

Heavy Duty

No pricing as yet, and these are about a week away from being ready.

Max are you able to post a pic of the original type bash plate from side on as a comparison to the new one above?

Thanks,

Chris.

Pisso, no I dont. I guess you could compare with pics from the other threads with Buddys Bashpates.

With this one, by remving the radiator support brackets you are gaining a good 2" just under the radiator crossmember itself.

This tapers back as seen in pics above to the first engine crossmember. So you gaining 2" all the way through each side.

The portion that is portruding is to clear the swaybar as the sway moves when twisted as the suspension cycles.

You benefit clearance wise everywhere except where the swaybar "curve" is, which is roughly the same as the previous bashpates we offered.

If you look closely at the side profile, then minus the small bulge for the swaybar, that wll be the profile all the way through with the non-swaybar bashplate version.

These bash plates bolt from the Radiator support.
The front plate in that photo with KSP Off Road on it? is that a custom plate or part of this?

These new bashplates bolt onto the underside of the radiator crossmember itself. Where the radiator supports used to bolt onto.

The bashplate you see with KSP Offroad on it is part of the Axis front Bar. it has a built in bash/splash plate on the underside of the bar itself to protect the radiator.

Its why its such an awesome bar, everything has been thought off.

Will be keen on the non sway bar maximum clearance option! These will oviously come zinc coated like the other bash plate options and have MR Branding.. Also any thought on vent holes or slits for water and mud? or unnecessary?
