+05 Hilux Monster Rides and Buds Customs Bash Plates

Postby Monster Rides on Sun, 03 Jul 2011 9:15 +0000

G'Day Fellas,

Here is a concise/quick reference guide for these bash plates which Bud knocks out for Monster Rides as well as his own Buds Customs versions.

We sell all of these bash plates so just drop us a PM or email to order any of these bash plates.

Note price increase in January 2013. Thread edited to show current pricing.

Front Bash Plates

Made from 4mm laser cut steel plate.

Both the BC and MR Front Bash Plate are basically the same item with different logo laser cut into them.

Buds Customs Engine Guard

This bash plate suits trucks with stock diff brackets. Will not fit MR Rekon dropped diff bracket equipped trucks.
$150 Plus delivery in Zinc
$175 Plus delivery in black powdercoat

Package 1:
Buds Customs Front Bash Plate and Engine Guard $375 delivered.

Package 2:
Monster Rides Front Bash Plate and Buds Customs Engine Guard $375 delivered

Add $50 for Black Powdercoat on both plates

Just a quick note on the powdercoat, we really don't recommend it for anyone who will use the bash plates often. With impacts and abrasion the powdercoat will eventually chip and scratch off leaving bare metal to rust.

If you're after the plates in black or coloured finish we recommend buying the bash plates in the zinc finish and then grab a rattle can of matte black anti rust paint like KillRust, or whatever colour you desire.
Give them a good wipe down with Prepsol and then a few coats of the paint and you'll be set.
That way you have the look of the matte black painted finish, and the protection of the paint and the zinc.

As the plates chip and scratch you can give them another coat or two of paint and keep them looking good all the time.

Monster Rides Dropped Diff Bash Plate

$250 Delivered in Zinc
$275 Delivered in Black Powdercoat

Package 3
Monster Rides Front Bash Plate and Dropped Diff Bash Plate $450 Delivered in Zinc

The recess on this bash plate is 45mm to house the dropped diff.

We can also sell just this "hump" to use with your current bash plates from another company if you wish to use our diff drop brackets. All the hard fab work has been done with the humps sent out ready to be welded in after you cut a hole for clearance on the dropped diff. Humps are $75 delivered when bought with a diff drop kit.

Check out the info on the diff drop brackets here:

Add $50 for Black Powdercoat on both plates

You can also add the Transfer Case Guard to a bash plate package for an additonal $400 delivered.

The Transfer Case Guard on its own is $375 plus delivery.

All of these plates are usually in stock or only a few days on back order if we run out.
Drop us a PM or email to order or ask any questions we might have.

Cheers
Matt

They have been race proven on the my hilux with 300kms of hard racing at Bencubbin and not even a scratch whilst my standard Toyota ones are crumpled bashed and bent into oblivion from the previous races. Strongly reccomend looking at these bash plates if you are in the market

So These are all made by Buds correct?

But MR have gotten their name cut into the plate hence the cheaper price?

Yes, Buds Customs produces all of these bash plates.

Pricing is the same, only difference is the logo and gold zinc (BC) and silver zinc (MR).

Hey Trent,

These bash plates are bulky and heavy and often take a little while longer to get to their destination.
They are sent from Brisbane, so to get to you in VIC can take some time.

Apologies for the delays, but we are at the mercy of Australia Post.

Thanks
Matt

Yep I'm waiting for mine also..... But to be fair I'm also waiting for sliders and I've just moved interstate. But still you'd hope for better service or at least a good reason if you were waiting for one item
