Hi All

Well i thought i would start a build thread, been on here a little while and had my 05 sr5 dual cab hilux since august last year, been a very slow build, all this stuff is so expensive

Well here is a pic the day i got it was still registered in qld as a couple had been travelling up from there in it but decided to go overseas.

Image

Image

When i got it, it had dual batterys fitted and the carryboy canopy. a month or so after that i got a TJM snorkal and TJM outback T13 steel bar fitted, had alot of stuffing around with the bar as they managed to get the one i didnt want in the box of the one i wanted, so i had that basic hoop bar fitted for about 2 weeks while i waited for mien to get here.

Image

This is the first time i got it dirty, it had rained alot up here and i managed to not get bogged following an older hilux with 33s on.

Image

Its been alot dirtier since then but i dont seem to have many pictures.
I decided to take the canopy off for a bit and put a sports bar on as it leaked a bit and they had carpeted the floor in the back which was starting to get a little moldy with all the rain we were having up here.

Image

Since then i have had a rhino spray on liner done and installed the canopy back on, getting ready for a road trip at the end of june along the Gibb River road, i have also just had 31" MTZs fitted today. Have to wire up a 2 post hoist for my mechanic tomorrow so that he can fit the ultimate 2"suspension kit i got off Brendon a couple of weeks ago.

Also fitted Skogs diff breather last weekend, and Buds Bashplates a couple of weeks ago.

Its nothing really big like alot of the other hiluxes on this forum 8-) dunno how you guys can afford to do what you do with them.

Cheers Darren

Yeah its been going pretty slow. got front suspension in today, its sitting pretty level now, rears still to go in tomorrow morning, and get the power to the tray for a fridge.
Then will probably go for a bit of 4wdriving near my old mans place out of town a bit, should be able to find some mud to test the new MTZs and suspension.

Mate you don't have to keep up with the Jones’s. Just do what you can, when you can and it will come together over time. We all have different priorities

By the way rig is looking good.
