thought i would just update havent done much new sliders are on, eaton elocker is in the rear , mickey thompson mtz's 285/75/r16 and the xrox bullbar has been lifted :)

but i went to queensland transport to get my lifts and tires approved so i dont void my insurance filled out a motor vehical modification application and i got defected cause
1. tires have more than 15 mm of tread
2. lifts on the front are 70mm of suspention witch is 20mm more than the 50mm allowed
3. tires were out side the guards by 4 mm

so pissed off to say the least told me i have to go do all the turning tests and a couple of other things and all i have under my lux is 2 inch body lift and 3 inch suspention front 2 inch bach grahhhh

there goes my idea of getting rekon in the front and a coilover conversion on the rear or find a better queensland transport to get it looked at

Man get intouch with Rod (VMN) and see who does all the approval stuff for his body lift, might be worth getting him to look at it maybe :?

Anyway the lux sounds like a monster, give us a look with some pictures :D

am going back on monday to have another go :D :D fingers crossed

yeh i got new mounts and it is all fixed very easy just had to find the right 4x4 place had them here in a week instaled it in 10 minutes

Ok was that through OL?? Ok I'm just tossing up what to get, I already have the ARB compressor so it will pretty much be even, just personal preference I guess. Would be interested in how the elocker performs though.

How did you go with the Department of transport mate?

I had mine approved about 3 months ago, was probably the most frustrating process to go through but its all good now.

yeh got mine done all good :D but with my old BF Goodrich All Terrains 265/70R16 which are 30" not my mtz"s which are 33" they said it was impossiple to get any bigger legal with the +15mm to -26mm maximum tire change law in queensland :( so i got it all approved and put the mtz's strait back on  screw it in any other state i would be fine stupid qld

so i have decided after all this i am just going to be happy with the height and try and get more flex out of my rear end getting quotes on a coliover converstion for the rear end

Hey Matt, when I got my tires 265/70/16 (which are 30.7" by the specs) I was shown the qld DOT book by the tyre guy that says that 4x4's can go up to 50mm overall diameter, but passenger vehicles are only allowed up to 15mm like you said.. Unless it's changed since then? wasn't that long ago.
