Rhodesy Build - Lakefield National Park

Postby Rhodesy27 on Wed, 30 Mar 2011 2:56 +0000

Finally got my lux today.
Very happy with how it turned out. Its a SR 2010 production (2011 Compliance)
I originally ordered the Charcoal grey model but was told that its wasnt in production till may. (load of BS)
So i decided on the silver. ( Got a discount and free tint because of it)
I got from toyota a option SR5 Tub and some Flares. Bonnet protecters
Its booked in on the 13th for my TJM extras.
I got ordered a Bullbar, Towbar, Canopy, Sidesteps/brush bars, Roof racks and Some 31/10.5/15 MTZ on a black sunny rim.

Side steps and brush bars. Not happy with they way the steps sit at the end, there is about 5mm gap from the sills. should be around 15mm i think.
Image

Rear bar. still need to put 4 bolts in cause the holes didnt line up too well.
Image

The Bar all fitted up me and the misses tackeled this one. was very easy. had to drill out the mounting holes to get the bar sitting where i wanted it.
Image

Still waiting for TJM to get there shit together its been 4 weeks and still no canopy or my rims and tires. Goin to have to ask for some free gear i think, seeing as i spent $9k and still no stuff.

Also got my snorkel and roof racks sitting in the shed. Bit scared to do the snorkel my self.

Hey mate. Looking like your getting there. My mates dad just got the place he bought his gear to just cut the hole for his snore on his 200. Then did it himself. That's an option. They cut it for free.

Finally got my tyres today. Its been 2 months of stuffing around with TJM. After they ordered 16in and they didnt have account details with inifinty. Least they could do is give me a good price on a UHF. Best they could do was $500. Wankers.

Image

Also put in a false floor just to keep all my tools and work stuff from scratching the tub. Went and seen Outback accesories last week and did me up a locals quote so hopefully be seeing them after the tax man.

Image

Will be getting some rekon fitted as well, just waiting for the baby bonus money lol
