toddie wrote:fella's i pulled the intercooler off on the weekend to suss out my problem with the oil in my tube running to my boost guage! there was a little bit of really watery oil sitting on the bottom?? not sure if this is ok or not??
i would of thought if my turbo had a crook seal it would be blowing blue smoke, and on its way out! but seems to fine??
can this be related to my cold rattle problem with the injectors??
opinions will be much appreciated

It sounds to me like the same problem we all have. The egr crap that puts burnt gas back into our manifold. Have a read of the cleaning egr thread that could be where your problem lies. Some members said there's were really oily carbon deposits others said there's were very dried up carbon.
Hope this helps.
I would put a link to the relevant thread but on the iPhone it makes it hard lol
Cheers Troy

Todd, skip the spacer and give Ron a call at Driveline Services. In Archerfield. He can do you a one piece rear tail shaft for a very good price. Some people have had luck with spacers, some haven't. I don't think they are a complete solution, just masking a bigger problem which can be sorted with something made for the job.
I'm off to see them soon for the same op once I sort out the taller leaves in the back.

im agreeing with what the boys above have said...i work on cranes and trucks for a living and most vibration problems are usually put down to the uni joint...since your lifted to the heavens your uni angles would be crazy and putting a spacer in there will make it worse becuase it will make the distance between the 2 uni's shorter and therefore make the angles steeper...we use driveline services at work and they are pretty good man, they know their shit
goodluck

well if its making noises that means theres movement somewhere...and if theres movement then theres excessive wear in one of the needle bearings...get under it and shake your tailshaft and see if theres any movement in the uni's if there is get right onto it...and grease the f**k out of it (i think theres grease nipples on the unis xP) you dnt want your tailshaft or centre bearing letting go man
cheers
