It's good to hear you have your rig back mate, spewing Toyota didn't pay 100% of the cost, but as you said it could have been worse if they didn't pay any at all.

Cheers mate,

Was already painted Chris. You thinking about getting one??
Bit of an update, went for a night drive in the watagans friday night and long story short while trying to recover my mate i fell into a rut and ran the drivers side of the car down the mud and has since "crinkle'd" both drivers side doors
Ill try and get a picture up. So guys should i try and get this fixed under insurance or try and fix it on the cheap?? I had a mate have a quick look and he rekons its probably a few grand to fix. Im also thinking i may be able to get a few things fix under insurance if i go down that road.
Any advice would be good.

Cheers mate. Yeah just looking into it. Where did you get your gauges from?
Spewing about your doors. Id do it on insurance mate. That's why you pay it isn't it. Have you got no claim bonus protection? Doors are expensive to fix
Cheers,
Chris.

Got the gauges through a mate of mine who runs a small performance workshop. He couldnt really get them any cheaper but it was easier than me ordering them. Have a look at the OBDII gauges that are being sold on here. They came out just after i ordered mine. I would have giving them a go if i had my time again. Nothing wrong with the ones i have but the electronic ones you can change wat they display anytime you want.
Yeah ive got a rating 1 for life from aami so i should be sweet. I have paid insurance for over a decade and never had an at fault claim so i suppose i shouldnt feel guilty doing it haha.
A mate said i get get the quote paid out to me if im going to organise the repairs myself. Does that sound right??

Yeah I might have a bit of a look into them. Do you mind sending me a PM with his shop phone number? May as well support your mates business rather than a random..
Yeah definitely fix it with insurance if it wont affect your no claim discount. I don't know about them paying out the quote. Id let them know about the incident and get them to assess it before you do anything. Insurance companies are pricks and might give you shit if you don't do it how they like. Ive heard its better if they send out an assessor rather than you sending the car to them for assessment. Apparently that way they are less likely to pick up on mods like tires etc which are "not road worthy". You should be right though..
Keep us posted. Its always interesting to know how we go with insurance companies..
Cheers,
Chris.

Hey guys does anyone know what type of bulb my fog lights use in my arb deluxe bar?? Im looking at purchasing some yellow globes (as they are actually supposed to be yellow in fog) to replace the standard arb ones.
Oh and watch this space for some new photos once i get the last few things needed for myu truck.
It goes in to westend diesel on thursday to get the new DLC injectors put in and ill get them to clean out my intake system while its all apart as they all look pretty filthy from the thread on here about it. Should be like a new truck once i get it back. Not seeing much change from 3 g's though
I havent really posted in my build thread here for a while so ill keep it more up to date from now on I promise
Ill be putting on some depo angel eyes with HID's very soon and some new custom bar work will hopefully be done before i go away over new years.

Well i just got my truck back from westend diesel yesterday arvo and first drive is that its a little smoother but the real test was this morning from a cold start and i can report that............................. NO RATTLE !! None what so ever. The silence was beautiful.
As for fuel consumption well i cant really report on that yet but my new long ranger 140L tank goes in next thursday and im doing a round trip to moree next friday so I dare so that will be the test.
Im currently getting about 12 to 13 L/100 so hopefully these new injectors prove themselves worthy on that trip.

Its one of these mate
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TYREDOG-Wire ... 2314e93860 Very handy, i bought one after airing up and down a few times and had my tyres go down due to mud caught in the bead. Good cheap tyre insurance

How accurate do you find the pressure guage Josh?

Its pretty good Jack. I put the same sensor on all four different wheels and did that for all of them and there was only about a 1psi difference between sensors on each wheel
