Took the Hilux out last weekend for the first time & was very happy with the way it drove.. Went to Geehi Treadbo & Jyndabyne. It was a trail run for going to Fraser Island next weekend for 3 weeks. The Hilux loved the hills & the new chip worked well

A few pics from the weekend...

Camp site at Keebles hut

Tried Dan's version of camp oven cooking by putting the oven in a hole in the ground
Image

Then some good clouds came over
Image

Image

Then some lightning, thunder and rain...
Image

Dinner wasn't cooking too well in the hole
Image

It sort of marinated in nice fresh rainwater

Eventually the sun came out again

Had a good time around the fire

Fantastic scenery with clouds moving through the valley
Image

And I think it was Mackenzy who saw it first... A wild dog. Ended up seeing three in a line up the hill.

then at the end of the night there were sparklers...
