Took delivery March 09 Series 1 no 681
White TRD SL with factory Satnav & Reversing camera, Nudge bar & Driving lights, Hard cover, Remote locking on hard top by LidLock, Tub liner, 12v Jones plug in the tub for inverter to run fridge and had a plug run inside so kids could do homework on long trips using laptop.

Couple of months went by and had the front camera fitted so when it was on would switch from front to rear automatically when shifting to reverse whilst parking.
Changed the muffler to a Tri-flow and put a twin tail pipe so it pointed down slightly so it didn't blow black soot over the rear bar.
Few more months when by and fitted Angel Eye projector head lights with black backing (pain to fit as had to drop the nudge bar and TRD nose cone)
Looked for more power and ordered from the US a Cold Air Intake to fit a Tacoma TRD (also a pain to fit) but good power increase and nice intake sound -not to noisy.

Had XEDE Chip Torque chip fitted and Dyno
Before chip 181Kwrw torque 667Nm after 206.5Kwrw and after 837Nm goes like the clappers

it says it was run in 3rd on the top dyno sheet, in the trd's 4th would be 0 wouldnt it? So that would be why the reading is so high but its the gain that you should be looking at because all dynos read differently anyway.

nice lux, I would love to drive one

Torque is a calculated guess on a chassis dyno, I've checked over mine, but its not a figure I quote.
What boost pressure are you getting, Andrew?

Haven,t checked boost pressure it is still standard, but should be slightly higher than standard as the intake is so efficient as superchargers hate intake restrictions.

Fitted overdrive today what a bugger of a job and that crank bolt , man was it tight.
Didnt want to take the belts completely off as it didnt look pretty to put back on.
only trouble is that NST didnt sent any instructions to fit or where the idlers pulleys went, but figured it out after a while.
Have noticed heaps more torque at about 2000 Revs not game to push it too hard yet until the exhaust goes in an get a tune.
Wound the air compressor up to 150psi and tried to rattle the nut undone = no hope
Made a tool to hold the crank shaft whilst undoing the bolt with a breaker bar and a piece of pipe.
After that all was good.

Tool to remove bolt.

It is a 2" stainless steel nipple with 2 x 5/16 hi tensile bolts welded to it which allows the bolts to slide
all the way (25mm) into the pulley and not drive just by the points of the bolts as the nipple sits against the pulley so the bolts don't bend.
The socket slips through the nipple and allows access to the bolt, the end of the the tool sits against the chassis wil you undo the bolt.

Sweet...they run rich as shit, but exhaust is needed to get the gas out of the chamber.

This is the tool I made...I think Marty has it??

Josh the intake was a bit of a drama as it is made for the left hand drive Tacoma.
Cutting a new hole in the inner guard, shortening the plastic intake pipe and making some mounts for the box to sit on.
I also had to knock the inner guard down with a piece of wood to get clearance for the bonnet.
I had a couple of goes at it fitted it once measured what I needed and reinstalled the old intake.
But after the install the car goes heaps better.
