Hey guys just out of curiosity has anyone who done this paid anyone to do it for them? It looks as most of you have done this work yourselves and all credit to you for doing so. I dont need to do this mod at the moment or likely any time soon but as i have no welding skills, i would need to pay somone in the future and just wanted an idea of what may cost to pay somone to do in a buisness etc? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Ben

Thought I'd throw up some more photo's of the body mount trimming. This is my 2nd Hilux I've done it on, this time around I tried a little harder to try keep it looking factory. Got plenty of room to fit my 305/70/16's 8-) got over an inch clearance up there now with a 2 inch suspension lift and 2 inch body lift.

Here's what I cut out

Then bent it back and welded it back up.

Smoothed off and a lick of paint

Hi Mitch,

Can we get a picture of the mount with the tire at it's closest? lookins liek there is room for 35" tires  .

if this is cleared, what is the next obstacle for 35"?

the fender/quarter panel itself. Unless you want to severely restrict your suspension travel which would defeat the purpose.

you would need to completely flatten your pinchweld and Id also suggest removing your inner fender plastic liner and making up a flatter new version of another material.

Not impossible.....I'll get round to it at some stage. will start a thread and report when I do it.

Yer I can get a photo tomorrow. At the moment I have a massive amount of room because my tyres are getting down in tread :( when the tyres are new there is still some room left to go bigger, maybe another inch larger but it would be a squeeze. I could easily go a taller tyre if I'm willing to go with a smaller width.

Or a bodylift, one or two inch ;)

I'm looking at buying a welder and once I've got some experience up I will have a go at this mod. My question is, what sort of welders did you guys use??
