Viper82 Buildup = Turbo problems

Postby Viper82 on Sun, 29 Aug 2010 9:03 +0000

I have been on the forum for quite awhile now and and found it very helpfull in doing mods and after finally putting a lift kit in I reckon its time to post pics of me beast! Its a 2008 SR single cab T/D I am a chippy so this is my work car. Going to be abit more fun trying to load stuff in it now haha! After my first car was a 1972 toyota corona I always knew toyotas where built tuff! So after having a Holden ute with many problems I am glad I bought this car.

yeh I love my single cab. Its great cause no one can scab rides from me anymore hahaha! The extra tray length has been very handy for work. I can fit a 2.4m sheet on the tray. Mine has taken nearly 2 years to get to this stage though. Mine is just the standard toyota one 2550 long 1800 wide.

My tool boxes are great for work but I rather something else for camping as they do rattle quite abit over bumps. Next time Might go for one big box on the tray that I can remove if I need too.

yer mate you can tighten it more but the rubbers under it will squish together more and more. dont tighten it to much its loose to allow the shock to have a bit of a rubber mount, to take some shock off the shock,The squeek will go away, its probly the painted spring on the rubber cap....Dont stress give it a week and maybe a quick squirt of silicon/tyre shine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
******If you can ignore it its not a real problem******

Thanks for the reply. yeh asoon as I turned it the squeak stopped :D . I wound it back out so the rubber doesn't look squished anymore. The sqeak was dam anoying and got louder and louder and I could hear it even with music going but all good now. I though it might have been the rear leave bushes which I dreaded because the leaves are a pain to remove and put back in especially by ya self.

When I first got my car my drums squeeled for like a year till I fixed it and I was not going to let that happen again
I wanted it fixed straight away.

Interesting. I will be at Beaudesert Exhausts so I will try and remember to discuss this with them. Sounds like duck shovelling to me!
