Hello Jap

Are you running the standard ECU?

What sort of boost numbers?

Have you put a shift kit in the AUTO?

Have you replaced the headers?

Oh and I forgot Welcome to newhilux.net

Scrap the Headers question I can see what looks like pacemaker short tube headers in there.

Nice TRD mate.

Can you let us know the dyno readout - if you have had one done?

Yes, with a piggy back

Gulfstream8 wrote:What sort of boost numbers?

7.1psi peak

Gulfstream8 wrote:Have you put a shift kit in the AUTO?

Yes

Gulfstream8 wrote:Have you replaced the headers?

Yes, had the pacemakers to start with, but I have the set of extractors that Matty from Monster Rides posted up.

Thanks mate.

the piece of paper says 201.8kw at the tyres on 7.1psi, it went 9.9 @ 76mph over the 1/8th mile with s**tloads of wheelspin

Hello Jap

What “Piggy back” computer are you using?

Did it come with a basic tune?

Did you tune it?

What software do you require to tune it?

Could you give us some basic ignition parameters that you changed?

Could you give us some basic injector parameters that you changed?

A Chiptorque Xede

Gulfstream8 wrote:Did it come with a basic tune?
Yep

Gulfstream8 wrote:Did you tune it?
Nope

Gulfstream8 wrote:What software do you require to tune it?
Download software from their site, all Windows-based

Gulfstream8 wrote:Could you give us some basic ignition parameters that you changed?
No

Gulfstream8 wrote:Could you give us some basic injector parameters that you changed?
No

I can give you a bit more info after next weekend, will have spent some time on the dyno.
But I have to say, the tune that was on it was actually pretty good.
Still very rich under load though.

Sorry to go a bit off topic but i was recently told you can't get an accurate dyno reading with an auto ! is this true? because it did take it to a reputable diesel centre and they wouldn't do it.

You can, there's a trick to holding it in second gear, come plug you need to take out!
If RACECAM looks at this thread he will be able to elaborate more on this.....

Hello jogal

In a manual you always select a gear that is one to one ratio and most of the time that is 4th gear in a manual. In the A750E auto that would be in Japs TRD the tuner would select 4th as this is one to one.

The only other problem is as you accelerate the Auto will change gears on the way up through the power band giving you spikes in HP and Torque. But the final figure is the one you’re after and should still be accurate.

Now the final figure is still only as accurate as the information the tuner has put into the Dyno computer to spit out the correct number. So in reality you can fudge the figures on either the Auto or the manual.

Yeah, for what its worth, its an A750F, I don't know if there is a great deal of difference between the E series and the F series....

I fit an overdrive pulley for the blower today, saw an extra ~2psi on the gauge :P

Looking forward to a tune and drags next week

Hello Jap

Please feel free to tell us more about your rig!

Why did you get the piggy back ECU before trying a larger pulley for more boost?

At the time, I couldn't find much to do on it, the guys at Bullet had told me they do the top pulley, the piggyback & exhaust, then thats it.

But, I wanted more (i'm hopeless)
